On Linux proper, this is a snap--so it should be on Android too, right? Well...apparently not. I'd never given it any thought, as the default location is okay for me, plus I clear out my screenshots frequently, moving them to my networked computers. (Where, I realized recently, I -don't- clear out unneeded stuff frequently--I found screenshots from 10+ years ago! :o)

Oh, yeah, your question: I don't think there's a setting to change the default location. :(

But! You can try various apps, like this one, cleverly called Screenshot, which says: "You can specify the folders which the screenshots will be saved as images." I don't know, but kind of doubt, that includes SD card locations. I can't test it, so you're on your own.

There are many other screenshot apps, so you might want to look through some of those.

Previous, as in already existing? You'll have to move those yourself. Any file manager should be able to do that. You just select the files or directories you want, then move them to their new location. If you need help, just ask. :)
 
Screenshot location wouldn't usually be under Camera, but depending on the particular phone or tablet you've got and its Android version, it might be under Settings > Storage > Default Location > Memory Card or Internal storage.
 
I didn't find default location. The only options are unmount and format. I'm running 6.0.1 on a Samsung Galaxy S5.
 
With built-in screenshot function there is no option to save the shots to SD card, at least with the phones that I have used. You must use a third-party app that allows such setting.

But be careful, some third-party apps could spy on you by randomly sending your screenshots to somewhere only God knows.

I just checked a Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 8, and it doesn't have it either. However my Huawei Mate 10 with Android 9 does, and the Default Location setting does include the screen-shot feature. On the Huawei screen-shots are definitely saving to the micro-SD.
 
I used My Files, which apparently got the job done. I guess I'll just have to do this more often. Why don't they just build in the option and make things easier?

If everything can be done by native apps, the Playstore would be useless.

Remember one thing, when a third-party app earns money, Google earns money too. So why should they do all the jobs for free?

Oh. Since I'd already told him he'd have to manually move them using a file manager, and then he did, your quoting all his questions--"How do I do that? How do I make sure all previous go there? I bet it's not under camera."--implied that the app you suggested would do -all- of it. Someone else with a similar question, upon reading it--like if they landed there from a search--might easily assume that's what the app does...

The title of the thread is:

^^^ Which my suggestion does.

I saw he had already moved the images to external sd so I suggested how to have the new screenshots go to external sd going forward. Since I wanted to get his attention and not yours, I quoted the first post. My suggestion to the user was in fact helpful to him.

There's really no need to nitpick. We're here to help the users and not nitpick each others posts/answers.
