Change OK Google activation

Well, it was bound to happen. The TV activated my OK Google prompt and search for something strange. Can I change the OK Google prompt to be something other than OK Google so it doesn't get activated by TV commercials?

I think you can only change it to "Hey Google".
Which is surely all about brand protection: force you to use their brand name and remove the possibility of people triggering it with something Google might not want to be associated with (if we had this option and I actually used Assistant I know I'd trigger it with "Big Brother"...).

I hadn't thought about brand protection but you make avery good point. As far the option to use it, Google can turn Assignment on with or without our enabling it. Sometines I think its more like a
placebo toggle. ;)

Sorry(off topic), I hadn't answered sooner but I was helping someone on XDA fix DM-Verity and bootloop. Funny think is they didnt make a back up as I had suggested. The good news is I pulled out my old soft bick Note 4 that gad DM-Verity fail, DRK and fail to mout EFS. Gave up on it 2 years ago but in trying to help that member, I decided to give it another shot. Dam!!! I fixed mine no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip and my old backup flashed efs partition. Fix my old phone and my record of never having brick a device I didn't recover from.

The Google app is disabled on my phone, not just Assistant turned off. I don't want some smeggy search bar on my desktop, I don't want Assistant, so I decided that I didn't need the Google app.

(And if they manage to remotely enable a disabled app I'll root the thing, remove every single Google app from it and delete my Google account. Not joking at all, that would be the end of Google for me).

Hope have an unlock bootloader and I completely understand how you feel. As for me, I'll take a rooted device over pokemon, netflix, banking apsps, Android pay....... I can alway hotspot to my olther N4 non rooted. Oh, I guess thag I do want to own a non rooted device after all.

Oh yes, I have an unlockable bootloader. This is the first phone I've not bothered rooting, but I'm not buying one where I don't have the option...
