Does the Music app ONLY play stored mp3s?

Wait...WHAT?! I just timed mine: 1 second.

I wonder what caused that for you, as it's definitely not been the case for me.

We are talking about the Android app, right?, not a computer version. I'm really baffled...10-15 minutes to start up is crazy.

Yeah, I know.
And it happened every time I opened it. Even when I turned the setting controlling the media scan feature off.
Not to mention the fact that the developers didn't seem to care.

And then there was that time not so long ago when VLC was making users vulnerable to hacking- and it's not the first time.

The only difference in function with X-Player is that you cannot turn off the swipe controls for volume, briteness, etc.

Well, at least I don't have to look at that fugly orange cone anymore.
There is enough of those on the road, I don't want them on my phone as well.

Very interesting, @puppykickr. I just can't imagine what could cause such a ridiculously long time to load.

Ugh, I hear you! I strongly dislike orange. :(

My favorite color is blue, and all my icons on my computers, like folder and taskbar icons, are blue. Have a look at VLC's:

Much nicer, don't you think? :D

I think it is because of the large amount of media on my device.

Other players don't seem to need to scan my device every time I open the app, only VLC does that.

It irritates me that it does it even when I turn it off in the settings.

There are other problems as well, but since I haven't used VLC in so long I really don't remember specifics.

Actually, my main player right now is Simple Gallery Pro, by Simple Mobile Tools.

It is an excellent open source gallery and media player.

But it won't play flash or WMA files, and some others, so for those type things I use X-Player from InShot.

It plays things that even VLC won't, streams easier than VLC, and only has in app purchases- no ads.

So there is really something to be said for a proprietary app that I will take over an open source app.
That is very rare, as I will often use apps that are less user friendly just because they are open source.

And yes, the blue is nicer than the horrid orange.
What about purple, or green even?
