WiFi calling dropping out

I've got a signal issue at home which is resolved by using WiFi calling, however it doesn't seem to be stable with it staying active.

My wife has the same issue and we had to reboot yesterday as it dropped out and it stayed all day. However while driving home and calling my wife signal for her was terrible again only to find out that the WiFi calling had turned off, despite being in on settings. I've just checked mine and mine had gone as well. A reboot fixed it again but obviously keen to find out why we need to keep doing this. A bug of some form obviously.

Sounds like it is a bug, I would absolutely submit feedback via Pixel menu's to start.

That said though, which carrier are you on, and did you get phone via carrier or 'unlocked' via google?

After the reboot last night, my wife's dropped off about 7pm and just noticed mine has gone again. Quick restart and it's back showing in the top left again

Sorry I don't have better guesses, but it does sound like a network issue. It *could* be the signal gets crap, and the phone is toggling wifi calling off... Our resident Pixel expert might have a suggest... @codesplice ?

It's complicated.

WiFi Calling has to be supported by the carrier first and foremost, and it may get disabled if the phone determines that the network can't support it for whatever reason. That it could get turned off on either the phone or carrier end makes it pretty difficult to track down - but I can't think of anything on the phone side that might shed some light on the situation.

Your best bet will probably be to continue working with the carrier's support folks to see if they can help. At the very least, they can confirm that the network supports WiFi Calling and that the line is provisioned for it. Failing that, maybe reach out to the Pixel Support folks to see if they can help:

Just spoken to somebody else in my office who had the same problem. Turned on in settings but not active and also with EE. I've spoken to EE and they've confirmed it's enabled in my account
