Can one replace Odin root with Magisk root?

I have an Odin rooted S7 and obviously most banking etc apps don't work on it.

The Magisk route offers the ability to hide the root from specified apps. I tried to install Magisk. It is a 2 part thing. The 2nd part installs but the 1st part says something about boot sector is incompatible and would not do it.

I do have SuperSU Free v2.82-SR3. Normally I buy Pro versions of anything that actually works :) Superuser is enabled.

It can be done. You have a exynos device so it wouldn't be hard.
