The 'jaw dropping' camera security threat

Compassion is cool!
This article discusses a very severe Android threat, affecting hundreds of millions of users.

The threat was discovered in July, and Google acted swiftly. If you're not already aware of this specific threat...or, really, even if you are, I suggest reading the article.

The very brief version is that researchers found "a way for an attacker to take control of smartphone camera apps and remotely take photos, record video, spy on your conversations by recording them as you lift the phone to your ear, identify your location, and more. All of this performed silently, in the background, with the user none the wiser." :o

--------- It's "its" damn it! ---------

There are two apps that I use to give me some piece of mind.

They are:

PilferShush (F-Droid)- which keeps other apps from using the microphone

Pandroid Camera (APK Pure)- which sets up a user controlled device administrator privlege on the device, which is accessible via a quick tile.
