Gmail push

New moto one Gmail doesn't offer option to push email, best is 15 minutes. Is this a moto deficiency or and android 9 deficiency? I have to return the phone and wonder if i have to rule out all moto devices or all android 9 devices.

That's entirely a Gmail issue, not your device.

It's absolutely nothing to do with Android 9 - I used that for over a year without problems.

Have you tried just using a different email app? You don't need to use the GMail app for GMail accounts, pretty much any Android email app supports them (including IMAP push).

Aquamail is a email client that has push as low as you want it.
