Help Why can't I see a running total number of texts anymore?

I used to have a first generation Moto-X. Since it was a Google phone, it ran on Google's texting app. Now I have a Samsung S10e and have downloaded Gboard to use as my texting app and it appears to be identical to the app used on my old Moto-X except for one thing. It no longer shows a running total number of text threads that I have between any given person. It's not the end of the world but I miss being able to tell my loved one that we've texted over 30,000 times together. It's interesting to see individually how often you text each person that you correspond with. Is this just a function that went away or is it a setting that I'm missing somewhere?

It's nothing to do with the keyboard, it's a feature of the message app. So check that app's settings, and if it doesn't have the option and it matters enough you could install a different SMS app and use that instead.
