Video quality

I thought the Rcs messaging was supposed to make the video quality good like the iphones. My pixel 3a still crap. When I send it even says will be lower quality. My carrier is tmobile
 
Quite fuzzy and smaller. Doesn't take up the whole screen. I don't see where it's much better than before. No where close to iPhone quality..wondering if I doing something wrong.have had it say sending by sms or mms size will be reduced and lower quality

Do both you and your recipient have RCS service? It sounds like the video might have been sent heavily compressed by MMS for compatibility, if the other party doesn't have RCS.

I believe iPhone doesn't support RCS, and that's iMessage only,
 
Something to keep in mind is RCS will only pertain to Android devices, Apple has made it clear it will not include support for RCS so we're all still going to have to rely upon SMS/MMS for any cross-platform text messaging exchanges. The iMessage protocol is Apple only, just as RCS is Android only.
