I've got the kids Amazon Fire tablets. You can't beat the price.

Installing Google Play Store - where should I get from?
Searching gives loads of results. Just wanted a recommended and trusted one.

I already have installed on their phones.
Will I have any problems installing on the Amazon Fire tablets?

As indicated, you need to install a few other Google services along with the Play Store APK itself.

If you want to start creating your own apps, there's learning process to go through. Since the Android operating system has become so popular, development is a big thing these days so you'll have no problem finding a way to educate yourself in a way that matches up your current skill level with what you want to do.

I'm interpreting this quite differently from @svim, i.e., that you're just wanting to know how to create an APK from an existing app. If that's not correct, skip the rest of this!

I create mine very easily--by using file managers that do it for me. It's an 'app backup' feature in them. (This has saved my ass in the past.) Note, though, that I basically only use paid apps, and wouldn't consider sharing their APKs with anyone.

I was a programmer and sysadmin on UNIX and Linux. Even though Android is a Linux, and writing apps for it should be pretty easy, my circumstances have changed and stuff like that isn't in the cards for me. Right now. So instead of learning how to do it myself, I let apps I paid for do it for me.
