Scrolling wallpaper cut off

I have a wallpaper that's much longer than it is tall. The idea is for it to scroll as I swipe through my home screens. But it seems no matter what I do, the right edge of the image is always cut off. Which is to say, no matter how many screens I scroll through, there's always a significant portion of the image that isn't shown. The closest I've come to a fix is adjusting the image itself to be a square, but this requires either horrible stretching, or enormous, ugly black bars at the top and bottom.

Is there some way I can get my phone to properly display a long, scrolling wallpaper?

You can try Wallpaper Changer.

Change the image position to fill.

Thanks! Neither of these quite did the trick, unless there's some functionality I'm not grasping... However, they did give me some insight into what the problem might be. Seems my phone's home screen launcher is locked to 2340x2340 (while the image in question is 3200x1838). Is there any way to change the launcher display size? I was able to get this wallpaper working on my previous phone (if only I could remember how...) so I feel like it should be possible.

If it's a launcher feature, and there's no setting to control it, then the answer may be to try a different launcher (which isn't ideal if the launcher does everything you want otherwise).
