1. What's your job? - unfortunately, none. *
2. How long have you been doing it? - too long.
3. What's your ideal job? (realistically) - the one I planned for, and worked my ass off getting educated for, physician...but...
4. What's your dream job? - while taking a break before medical school, I found out I loved programming and system administration (UNIX/Linux only). I had my dream job! Twice! Neither one as a doctor. First, as the programmer and sysadmin at a furniture store chain, then at a data processing company. I got to take my baby, my little boy, to work with me every day at the latter! Here he is taking a snooze on his chair at home:
That's my 182-pound baby, Freddie Mercury, AKA Little Freddie.
* I now see my job as working toward continued improvement health-wise. A brain tumor ended my career; I thought it couldn't get worse than that--I was wrong! A few years later, sepsis nearly killed me, left me hospitalized for six months and unable to do anything for myself for almost a year. I miss my career. I miss working. I miss the $$$ I made! But nothing compares with waking up each day now and acknowledging I WOKE UP AGAIN!
