So I picked up a 55-inch 4K Hisense TV for Black Friday. On the bright side it was only $230 for a 4K Android TV with built-in Chromecast and all that. Unfortunately the picture quality absolutely sucks.

Here's the model:
Hisense H6500F (55H6570F)

I've gone through all the settings but it appears the TV might just be... not as good as I hoped. Has anyone felt the same? Or am I overlooking something in the menu to fix the picture quality?

Now checking the model of my Cable (Xfinity Comcast) box to see if maybe it's too old and doesn't deliver 4K content. Stay tuned (or help a brother out)!

For anyone else wondering, two answers here:
  1. The comcast box we had was old and couldn't deliver 4K content- had to call Comcast Xfinity
  2. The frame rate isn't great on the TV which is something to look for on cheap 4K TVs
