Oldie but a Noobie, that Came Back to AF

My, my my. I haven't any suggestions for AF, but I managed to get back in my AF account after absences...

I just received a Karma trophy of some kind; I haven't been back for long, but BAM -

The trophy showed up.

I'm glad to be back.

May Peace & Love Forever be yours,
LW

Welcome back to AF LOveWerks !!
Thank you. I've been through many changes, but my last surgery successfully removed cancer in my upper colon. Losing a kidney made other adjustments in my life; I now use a power wheelchair to get around, but I am SO grateful to be alive. Every day is a new, special day.

And I make it so.
Every. Single. Day.

Once again, thank you for your reply.

Good to be alive. Im hoping you now in remission and the worst is over. My father lost his legs to diabetes. Out of the hospital, back home on Christmas. Excellent :)

Aw, thanx. Yes. My SECOND remission, and the bloodwork sez that it is nearly gone. I went through this the first time back in '93; different location, same result. I was cancer-free until my most recent roll of the dice.

I'm doing quite well now. My oncologists are saying things like, "You can come back in 2 months."

My response? "Oh, no. Monthly appointments, until we know exactly what the end result is."

I've gone through this already. My father died of cancer, & I guess I got the Cancer Assistance Gene...

I haven't smoked in over 10 years now. But life wouldn't be life, without a few surprises...

LW

I've been a smoker for 35 years now. Marlboro Reds a pack to a pack and a half a day . Tryed to quite with no success. I finally just gave up and said to myself "Im just a smoker". A year ago I bought a vape box mod and stopped smoking for 6 months. Long story stort , my vape broke and back to a pack and a half. So If you see a bald guy with a rooted Note 4 in a wheelchair next to you named Javier, that will be me.

Yay! You're getting around. :)

I hear you. There really is no other feeling quite like it.

I'm so happy you're back home now with your AF family. :D

Take it nice and easy. This isn't a race. Listen to your body and respect its instincts. When you're tired, rest awhile--even if that means until the next day.

Happy holidays!
