Help VPN Access to Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials

Hi

I am unable to connect a VPN from any of my android devices to our office Server. I have tried both a direct VPN connection using the native software and also using Microsoft Remote Desktop, neither can make a connection.

Server:

HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8

O/S

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials Reseller Option Kit en/fr/it/de/es SW

Android:

HTC One M8 operating Lollipop (5.0) and Sony Xperia Z Tablet also operating Lollipop (5.0)

VPN access works fine onto the server from Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs.


Can anyone help or offer advice please?

Just a heads-up, MichaelJohnny: you might want to check a question's date before taking time to offer help.

The OP was using Android 5 (current version is 10) when they asked their question five years ago.

I'm guessing that they've moved on by now to newer versions of their mobile and computer OSes.

No, no, no! It's fine to reply to old threads, but when the last activity was 5 years ago, and no longer relevant because of the OSes in use at the time, it's usually a pretty good guess that the poster has long since moved on. Posting a thoughtful and helpful reply for someone who won't even see it just seems like a waste of time. That's all.

You can answer old posts, AF should have no problem with that as long as it's still relevant AFAiK. However in this thread, Microsoft Windows Server 2012, is any company in 2020 still using that?
