Firestick 4k with VPN and Netflix

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully I am allowed to ask this here. I am potentially looking at purchasing a firestick 4k to allow me to run a VPN giving me access to US Netflix from another country.
I have tried 2 different chinese android tv boxes where netflix runs fine but detects the vpn (however on my android phone netflix runs fine with the vpn) and it runs fine through a browser on a pc with netflix.

Does anyone here use netflix on a firestick and a vpn?

Here's a good tutorial on implementing a VPN service to a Firestick:

... and just to re-emphasize some points in the article, if you don't want to their recommended choice, be careful and pay a lot of attention when choosing which VPN service you do subscribe to. Finding a free one that has an app that runs on a Firestick will be really tough as most free VPN services are a bit dodgy, and the situation is now so bad that even finding a pay-for one that's appropriate requires some background confirmation on your part.

ExpressVPN is quite dependable for circumventing geoblocks - Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, and other services were easily accessible. It's also fast, safe to unblock Netflix and everything else, supports torrents, has no substantial logging (proven by an audit), has clients for everything, and is simple to use.

Something to be aware of is ExpressVPN was recently bought up by Kape Technologies (which before changing its name from Crossrider, a big website ad-injection company). As Crossrider, it previously had bought up CyberGhost and Private Internet Access.

So Kape, with its ad-based history, now owns three different, popular VPN services. Each VPN service is touted as remaining independent from Kape's oversight so as the saying goes, do the math and access your own beliefs on how much faith you have in corporate press releases.
