Cannot connect T9 Box to 5GHZ Band on Router

I purchased a generic T9 box that said it was compatible to both 2.5 and 5.0 bands on my Ausa dual band router. It will connect to to 2.5 but the 5.0 either does not show up or shows as disabled when I search for networks. I have had no problems connecting all my other devices to 5 ghz. I need that because the 2.5 speed is about 28 mps and 5 is 160 mps. link to item on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HD4VW1C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Help!

Do you have the same SSID for both the 2.5 and 5.0 bands on the router. Some devices don't like this and get confused. Try renaming the 5.0 band, I just added 5G to the end of mine.

Try installing this 'WiFi Analyzer (open source)' app on a phone or tablet to check the signal strength of both your 2.4GHz and 5GHz band networks.

Check both standing a few feet away from your router and then next your T9. If it's in another room or too far away it might be a matter where there's just a 5GHz range or coverage issue. Typically while a 5GHz signal can provide faster bandwidth, a 2.4GHz WiFi signal can extend out further and can penetrate through walls (i.e. drywall) better too.
Of course this isn't a factor if both your router and TV are in the same room. Also, you restarted your router recently?

First, I did rename my SSID for 5 GHZ , and yes, I have restarted the router during the trouble shooting process. Anyway, I was able to connect to 5 GHZ yesterday which runs at about 160 Mps but the playback from the box while on Cola Streaming is still buffering. I have another new box and will try running it to see if the box is now the problem. If not one thing, then another!
