Help 'mp3 was deleted, moved, or renamed' - ERROR ?

Hi,
I have a Samsung Android 7.0

Been trying to find the answer but no luck.

Every time I download some files (for examples MP3s), after a few weeks my phone won't play them anymore. They seem to automatically be removed from my downloads. The error message I get is:

'.mp3 was deleted, moved, or renamed and is no longer available for download.Tap REMOVE to remove it from Downloads.'

Why is this happening? Is this this a know bug?

Sounds like you may have a problem with your SD card... There are a lot of fake ones out there. They look ok, but don't actually have the capacity that they are quoted as having.... so you can write and write and write... but when you come to read the files back later the information just isn't there.

(and the dodgy seller has run away)

Hi PsionAndy, thanks very much for your reply. I really appreciate it.
However, actually I bought this phone directly from a Verizon store here in the USA and never did anything with it in terms of changing the SD card etc, never even took it to a store, so it came from the official Phone store, straight from the factory, brand new at the time, so it is unlikely that it's a dodgy SD card. I have a feeling that Androids may be programmed to delete downloads after a while to prevent the phone from being clogged up with old files..could that be?

Hmm... I didn't think verIzon shipped SD cards with there devices...

... You May want to swap the card though... If it's defective that's what warranties are for

Same problem here. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, not aware of any SD card in there. It works fine but I have the same problem and error message as the original poster.
