Countdown and count up timer app

I am trying to find a free app that can:

1. Countdown
2. Count up
3. Keep functioning even when the app is minimized or when I'm using another app

Can anybody recommend anything?

Your clock app shoud be able to do these things.

Use the timer to count down.
Use the stopwatch to count up.
The clock app always runs, so it will run continuously.

Yeah your system clock has that what you are looking for.
Timer to count down to whatever timer you have in mind,
the stop watch to count upwards from that moment, frankly I do not bother as much
