Unable to get DVI display from T450 in ThinkPad Pro Dock

Hi,

I have a Lenovo T450 type 20BX, with UEFI Bios ver 10.0.46 (2018/9/14) and a Think Pad Pro Dock type 40A1. It was used for Win, but I now have Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS.


I can get 3 monitors with the built in display, the VGA port and Display-port.

However, when I close the lid, only the VGA and the display-port video works from the dock and the DVI port, I can't seem to get working.

I've tried both A display-port to DVI cable and an HDMI to DVI cable, but can't get that 3rd monitor from the DVI port on the docking station for some reason.


Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Think Pad Pro Dock type 40A1. was ONLY able to support 2 monitors.
I was able to actually get 3 monitors by using the 2 supported monitors in the Dock and then connecting the 3rd monitor to the mini display-port when the laptop lid is closed. So thank you
