On April 1, 2023, the new base mining rate becomes effective as part of its monthly adjustment based on the rewards issuance formula released on March 1, 2022. You will see the new rate when you start your first new mining session of the month. AVOID LOSING YOUR PI – PROTECT YOUR PASSPHRASE! Your passphrase should ONLY be entered on the Pi Wallet at the "wallet.pi" URL in the Pi Browser. Be very careful—scammers have been creating fake Pi Wallet login pages to get Pioneers’ wallet passphrases and steal all their Pi. Also, Pi Core Team members will NEVER ask Pioneers for their wallet passphrases. Beware of Core Team impersonators as well.
 
Pi Chat infrastructure has been successfully migrated last week! This enables the Pi Chat app to have more frequent development of new features and independent scaling. Alongside the migration, we are also introducing a fresh look and style to the chat. Announcing July’s #PiHackathon winner and the recipient of 10,000 Pi: StreamVault! StreamVault is a subscription-based video streaming platform and emerging project in the Pi ecosystem. Their ultimate goal is to facilitate video streaming while allowing Pioneers to receive Pi from subscriptions and spend Pi to watch their favorite content.
 
The Developer Ambassador Program has had considerable community participation and we’re happy to see the community's efforts in facilitating more app-building for the ecosystem. Since we want more people to join the program and have a chance to receive 1000 Pi for onboarding new devs who build apps on Mainnet Ecosystem, we’re extending the deadline to December 31.
 
The winner of the ongoing #PiHackathon for August, and recipient of 10,000 Pi is: RadioForUs! A recent Pi Commerce Survey was launched to the community to help understand how Pi can be integrated into local commerce and facilitate the design of support and programs for local commerce. In just 24 hours, thousands of written and video responses poured in from Pioneers globally. We’re pleased to showcase some of the video responses. A blog detailing the survey findings and analysis will be shared later. Stay tuned!
 
PiFest is officially underway! Whether spending Pi or not, everyone can join the excitement: (1) Snap a picture of the flier in the participating shops you visit during PiFest. (2) Post your pictures on social media. (3) Fill out the Survey above once per shop you visited. Each submission will help your country or region to be recognized as the most Pi-powered in the world!
