When I clear cache from a file app, it just gets rid of stuff that makes it faster, right? What happens if data get cleared? Do all the files disappear?

Clearing dsta from file manager

If you clear the data, depending on the app it may not start again.
Clearing cache is different than clearing data.
When the app cache is cleared, all the mentioned data is cleared. The application stores more vital information like user settings, databases, and login information as data. When you clear the data, both the cache and data are removed.
