Alarming Food Prices

This bothers me. Grocery stores have always said they operate at a low margin. Now I don't believe them. Regular price $6.99, but if you buy four they are only $2.50 and I'm sure they are making money selling them at $2.50 a box

I have a full size and a small Walmart, a super Kroger and a regular Kroger and an Aldis all selling groceries in a 26K city. I think there is plenty of money in the business. Years ago I stocked shelves at night trying to make extra money. The amount of waste definitely indicated to me that they were making way too much money.

I guess I missed out on cereal. We had oatmeal once in a great while but no cereals. My father had to have his bacon and eggs daily and he ruled the roost.
I remember my mom buying generic puff rice cereal (the kind that came in the black and white bag) combined that with powder milko_O:spitoutdroid::thumbsdowndroid::goofydroid:. If I wanted a real breakfast I had to go school where they served oatmeal and pancakes

I was at the grocery store and saw some Keto bread and decided to try it. Got home and realized I should have checked the price. I discovered I paid $7.49 for a loaf of Keto bread 😆

My local Kroger store has pork shoulders on sale. At $0.99 a pound I picked up a good looking one Wednesday. My butcher buddy said he had three more cases ordered and he'd save a few choice butts for his buddies. I'll be buying a couple more when he gets them in. That's just too cheap and too good not to take advantage of the sale.
