(how about if Seth Macfarlene suddenly killed over?)
Just busting your balls amigo 😗 Did you know he was actually supposed to be on one of the planes that was involved in 9/11 terrorist attacks. No joke...

The horror of Jeffrey Epstein (and Prince Andrew) keeps on coming.

One of the more outspoken victims, Virginia Giuffre, committed suicide on Thursday, April 24, in her home in Neergabby, Australia. She was just 41.

(I started to say that she took her own life, but in a very real sense he and Maxwell took Ms. Giuffre's life many years ago.)

RIP, Ms. Giuffre, with condolences to your friends, family and loved ones. May your spirit continue to encourage other victims of abuse.

Sorry I am not buying the suicide angle or narrative the media is pushing. She knew way too much, names of politicians , celebrities who were involved with Jeffrey Epstein. She was murdered

Bestselling Alexandra Frölich has been murdered, found on her houseboat by relatives. She was 58.

RIP, Ms. Frölich, and thanks for sharing your talents. May the person or persons responsible for your untimely death be soon brought to justice and apprehended before others are harmed. Deep condolences to your fans, friends, family and loved ones.

Jeff Sperbeck - Wikipedia A fallen sport hero, and founder of 7Celler Spirits.
Perhaps it's nitpicking, but after reading the wiki page, I'm not sure Mr. Sperback qualifies as a sports hero, fallen or otherwise. He worked around sports professionals (contract agent and the like), but no mention of anything he ever did as a sports figure.

Either way, RIP, Mr. Sperback, with condolences to your family, friends and loved ones.

I honestly have no clue who that guy is & I'm a big sports person myself.

Can I make a belated tribute to Melanie (Safka) here. She passed away on January 23rd 2024 aged 76, 11 days short of turning 77, so a decently long life.
I knew of her and heard her hits on the radio when I was very young, but I just watched some live performances on her official You Tube page and others in recent days (a few I think filmed in Carnegie Hall, not sure, but excellent). Definitively one of a kind.
Thank you for being here.
Resting in Peace.

I was unaware we lost Melanie. The first Melanie song I heard was through a drive in speaker before the movies started. The song was Lay Down (Candles In The Rain). I heard the artist was Melanie... no last name at that time. I really dug the song but by the time I got to a record store, all I remembered was Melanie. I bought the only LP they had which was The Good Book. Lay Down was not on the LP but I grew to like some of the songs. The title track and the Nickle Song were likely the only tracks that charted. Some time passed before I finally heard Lay Down (Candles In The Rain) and I went shopping again. I'm listening to the song as I type. I have eight copies of the song on eight different LPs. I like Melanie Safka. She was different.. a Bonnie Tyler sort of voice. RIP dear Melanie Safka.... your music touched me.

@olbriar Amazing story.
Yes, she was a one off, although the comparison with Bonnie Tyler is a good one. There was also a kind of trembling in her voice that you thought was going to break down for her, but no. It was great to listen to.
She was a big star and seemed to perform brilliantly live with just a guitar.
I thought I added 4 of her hits in my original post, so I'll stick them here.
A full active life through the decades, though 76 is still too young to us fogies.

Look What They've Done to My Song, Ma

I saw that candles on Lay Down (Candles in the Rain) was a reference to her Woodstock audience in 1969. I don't know it but I will listen to that this evening. This is the first one I watched and recognised :
