The Darling Bride has the Watch 7 and has never been happy with it. Between horrible battery life and questionable step count accuracy, she was ready to trade up to the Watch 8. Hopefully it will be a little better... and the trade-in made it a reasonable $150 upgrade. She expects it to arrive tomorrow.

The Watch Ultra 2025 offers too little upgrade over last year's original, especially for the $350 price after trade-in. No thanks.

FWIW I use a Huawei Band 4 with my Samsung Note20 Ultra. Step count and heart rate are accurate, only needs charging once a week. And it was only equivalent of about $30 USD.

Stable One UI 8 Watch for the Watch Ultra is available! Installing now...

I installed One UI 8 for my watch this morning and it screwed up the Bluetooth connection with my phone. Had to factory reset the watch and start over... thankfully, between Google and Samsung Cloud backups, it took less than a half hour to be back as I was.
