In a not so distant California, once known for its golden coastlines and innovation, Governor Gavin Newsom plots the unthinkable: a total political takeover. No longer content with an 83% grip on congressional seats, Newsom now sets his sights on eliminating the last voices of dissent. His goal? Erase every Republican from the map and install a permanent, unchallenged rule. Under the banner of "progress," he’s quietly moving to dismantle California’s independent redistricting commission, the only thing standing between the people and total one party domination.
Despite overwhelming public opposition, even 61% of Democrats oppose this plan, Newsom pushes forward, undeterred. A new POLITICO poll shows nearly two thirds of Californians want the commission to remain. But because of Newsom’s greed, that doesn’t matter. Newsom isn’t listening to the people. He’s listening to the echo chamber of party elites who dream of a California where opposition isn’t debated, it’s deleted. Gerrymandering is no longer a dirty word; it’s the strategy. Republican voices are being surgically erased from the state’s political DNA.
