TV box speed

I have an X88Pro13 TV box and my internet is theoretically 500Mbps, the router is a Linksys SPNMX42
Using Ookla the download speed using the X88Pro wifi is 140Mbps and the wired ethernet is 76Mbps.
I added a TP-Link UE306 USB 3.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Internet Adapter in the hope of getting faster wired speeds but it's actually giving me lower speeds at 66Mbps. I tried the adapter in my laptop and I am getting speeds north of 300Mbps, so it appears the adapter itself is OK.
Any ideas why and any way of speeding things up?
Thanks, Mike

Why are you using so many devices?
One router/modem is all you need.. Anything more is just degrading your signal. Tear out what's not needed, reset and reboot them and you should be getting better data transfer....

Not sure I understand your answer so apologies if I'm being dim.
The router is also the modem and the TV box is required = two devices. The only extra is the USB ethernet adapter which I hoped would increase speed to the TV box - as previously stated the ethernet connection from the TV box is giving sluggish speed.
Cheers!

If your internet speed is 500 mbps and you're only getting 140 using wifi and 76 wired, something is degrading the signal. You should be getting close to the 500 mbps wired... If the box is lower speeds then maybe the box itself is the culprit.
It might max out at 140 on the box.
