We got an HDMI adapter for the VHS player and it works; a great turntable that plays 331/3s, 45s and 78s; a CD/DVD/Blu-ray player and it's all hooked up. I don't have enough cassettes or 8mm film to worry about it. I had found a couple of OLD 8mm reels from a handheld camera I had early in my Navy days and had them professionally converted to digital.

Let me see, I feel old since we have an eight track / vyinl album player tower, I remember putting on "Disco duck" As well as a lot of Mickey Mouse Eight track album, like most of the time, first taste of Little Richard, and Sammy Davis Jr.

I'm so old that one Christmas I received a reel to reel recorder. The reels had to be around three inches in diameter and the tape around a half inch. It was quite the treasured possession for quite some time. Radio sounded absolutely terrible in play back and was only mono... but so was AM radio. :)
I also had a B&W camera called the swinger that developed it's own pictures. I still have a few pictures of friends and girlfriends from my middle school years that it captured.
