We had 3 stations, well 4 if you counted PBS.
My grandma had 7 stations and no PBS.
I loved going to Grandma's house. Saturday afternoon always had old sci-fi movies on the Ashville channel.

Why can I remember my childhood phone number (GRanite 20619) but absolutely no numbers from the past ten years?
You didn't have to write them down and you never dialed them is my best guess. Click to save and click to dial. That's sounds much better than senility. 🤣

Back in my carpenter days, if I wrote down a number of measurements and went to the saw, I could cut them by memory. It was a matter of writing the numbers and then visually seeing them in my mind's eye. I need to write down why I am standing in the kitchen without a clue today. 🤣
