Android 17 Pixel 9a - How to allow an app to notify me when in 'Do not disturb'?

I have just installed a new security camera.
At night I have my mobile on 'Do not disturb' but I want to be alerted by my security camera.
I long pressed the security camera app which shows some options.
If I click on notifications>notification categories>other
Under 'Alarms' and 'Miscellaneous' I set all to 'Override Do Not Disturb'.
I still don't get an alarm from the security camera.
What other settings are there to get this to work?

I found this on the net. I hope it helps:
AI Overview

To let a specific app override Do Not Disturb (DND) on a Google Pixel, long-press the app icon, tap the (i) app info button, select Notifications, tap the specific notification category, go to Advanced, and turn on Override Do Not Disturb. [1]

Method 1: App Notification Settings (Most Reliable)
    • Long press the app icon on your home screen or app drawer.
    • Tap the (i) (App info) icon in the pop-up menu.
    • Tap Notifications.
    • Tap the specific notification category name (the text label, not the toggle) for the alerts you want to let through.
    • Tap Advanced or additional settings if needed.
    • Turn on Override Do Not Disturb. [1, 2]

Method 2: Global Modes & DND Settings
    • Open your Pixel Settings app.
    • Tap Modes or Sound & vibration, then select Do Not Disturb.
    • Look for Apps or Notification filters under allowed interruptions.
    • Tap Add apps and select the app you wish to permit through DND

Thanks for replying.
I had all of that setup already but I'm not getting any notifications now. I did manage to get it to work yesterday, hearing the sound i'm using for the security camera to sound on my 9a when someone walks into the 'activity zone'.
This morning it is not working, so I don't know what is going on.
Because the sound made was a normal notification sound and only lasted a second or two which is not long enough, I downloaded a 30 second emergency sound and have now set this to warn me, but as I said, suddenly I'm not getting any notifications at all.

This is my first security camera.
Within Android, are there settings so that I get a notification during the day/daylight hours but late at night, I want the alarm (the 30 sec clip I downloaded) to sound to wake me up.
I did a Google search and AI told me that Android does not have these settings and I should try a app called MacroDroid.
What do you think?

I run a stock phone and don't have any security cameras. I hope someone more versed in this area jumps in to assists you. I assume you are getting notification from the camera when the do not disturb is off. I also assume that the new notification sound is working.

I don't know if this security camera has changed settings on my mobile but I used to get notifications for Youtube when new videos are released by subscribed channels.
How do I get these notifications back?
