Fatalities - 2026

Theo Burrell, best known for the "Antiques Roadshow" series, has died after being diagnosed with brain cancer four years ago. She was just 39. :(

Teen actor Kaylee Hottle, probably best known for her roles in the Godzilla vs. Kong movies (she is deaf and so was her character) died yesterday from injuries suffered in a car accident. She was only 18. :(

My mother and I where talking about her yesterday, loved her in Godzilla Vs. Kong.
 
The name Peter Lassally probably won't trigger any memories for you, but he was a legend in late night tv. He's best known for producing The Tonight Show (Johnny Carson), The Late Show (David Letterman) and The Late Late Show (Craig Ferguson).

Mr. Lassally passed away a few days ago at 93, certainly having left his mark on late night television.

I have only watched a few of Craig's show when it was still on the air.. David not too much not a fan of his.

Bill Rasmussen, co-founder of ESPN, died August 18 from Parkinson's disease. He was 93.

Janie Bradford, who co-wrote Motown’s first hit “Money (That’s What I Want)” and other songs for the famed Detroit label, died on August 21 after an extended illness. She was 87.

Motown founder Berry Gordy said in a statement Saturday, “I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Janie Bradford Hobbs. Janie was there with me from the very beginning, before there was even a Motown, and she will always hold a very special place in my heart and in the Motown family.”

Just saw that actress and singer Shelley Fabares passed on Saturday at the age of 82. No cause of death was noted. The announcement was made by her husband, Mike Farrell, who most will recognize as BJ Hunnicut from the TV series M*A*S*H.

I remember her from the Elvis films and the song Johnny Angel and she was quite the looker on the Donna Reed show. I had no idea that she married Mike Farrell. RIP and thanks for the entertainment.
 
Dolly Parton. Wow. Who doesn't know her? So talented, yet humble, always remembering her roots. She passed peacefully at 80, no cause was noted. EDIT: I heard she lost a brief battle with cancer. :(

I'm not a big country music fan but I must say that Dolly Parton was quality. Pure quality that has to have everyone's respect. Her passing is a loss for sure. RIP and you will remain relevant decades from now. Thanks for the entertainment and heart felt music.
 
I think I did at one point did grew up with Mrs. Parton, but still people will mistaken that Witney Huston wrote the bodyguard song, but it was Dolly's hit.

Dolly was one of those extremely rare people, everyone truly loved and couldn't find anything negative to say about
 
Actor Michael Wright, known for his work in movies such as The Five Heartbeats and Streamers, as well as some TV work,
died on August 19, 2026. He died of heart failure and complications from a rare degenerative neurological disorder. He was 70.
