What are you listening to?

I put a bunch of my favorite tunes on my phone. Just a few less than 4,000 tunes that I enjoy listening to. I stream to my Bose buds daily when mowing and bike riding and to my truck's audio system. I have the player randomly play songs from the entire phone library. It seems to me that my phone's music player has its own favorites and I felt like there were songs that never got played. A week ago I set the player to play all in alpha. Today after seven days of the alpha stream, I have yet to hear a song that I don't listen to regularly... or so it seems. I'm into the F's and have heard nothing new so I guess I was incorrect about the random play being hosed.
 
I put music on a jump drive to listen to in my car. It must be time to add more, from playing it for so long I have the play list memorized, and know what is coming up after one goes off.

It's weird how the mind will stack a playlist without you intentionally trying to put the list to memory. I have some songs on my phone that I played the LP to death as a teen. When the song ends, I still know the next song on the LP. If asked, I would not know. The last of a song triggers the beginning of the next. If I could just remember why I went into the kitchen... :)

My brother in law and I were talking about this, last night. One of the first things I did after I bought the Dodge, in 2017 was to put a low profile drive in the USB slot. My old Ford had a 6 disc changer and I could load it up with enough music to get me to Pennsylvania and back. Can't update it like I used to because I haven't been on the desktop in several years.
 
When the song ends, I still know the next song on the LP.

I got to the end of my all files in alpha playlist this morning while mowing. I found that I have some songs in the library that are the same title but by different artists. I found some songs that share a title but are different songs entirely. I can't say the player doesn't favor a song to play but I can say that it has played all in my library. I had some voice mails in the library and some audio driving direction files that I purged. I have a few songs I plan to get rid of as well. They are either incomplete or of poor quality. I'm either mowing or riding down the road when I hear them and don't want to stop and hit the big red button. I'll eventually get them filtered out. I set the player back to randomize the all files list.
 
I'm learning Linda Ronstadt's version of "When Will I Be Loved" for a frequent audience member who asked for it.

Since I make my own backing tracks, I had to learn the drum part, bass part, and 4 different guitar parts. It's not a difficult song to learn, and not that time consuming, but listening a lot and internalizing the different parts make it easier to learn.

Mrs. Notes will sing lead, I'll play harmony, she'll play one of the guitar parts, and I'll play synthesizer. The rest will be what I previously recorded.
