It appears that the rains are heading mostly Easterly from Texas and not taking the Northern route up through Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. We get a break from the rains that is all good. It was an excellent rain. At my location, only a couple of inches fell. It was a slow steady rain and most of it had a chance to soak in. The Fescue grass responded big time. I cut more grass yesterday than I have seen for a week's growth all summer. The yards needed that rain big time.
After an overnight low of 55°, it has warmed up to 57° with a predicted high of 70°. I do believe that fall has pushed summer to the curb. There is a NE wind blowing in the lower single digits that will get into the teens this afternoon. My ten day forecast has mostly seventies and a couple of days in the very low eighties predicted.
