What's the weather like where you are?

It is cool and overcast this morning. Five hundredths of an inch of rain has fallen. So far, not enough rain to spoil my mowing today. Currently it is sixty degrees, no wind, and the sun is covered with clouds. The grass won't be drying out anytime soon.

It is starting out warmer today than it has been lately. The holds true for the predicted high as well. Currently it is 65° with a high of 81° predicted. Right on que, the wind will also see some higher numbers. They are talking winds into the lower twenty mile per hour range this afternoon. Ahhhh Kansas!

Someone leaked the information to mother nature that next week is November. Highs keep getting lower as the week unfolds. By the end of next week, I'm looking at high temperatures in the fifties. YUCK! It's best that I get out and enjoy the last of the warm fall weather while it is here. Today's high is to be 82 with winds barely in the teens. Friday thunderstorms are predicted that kick start the colder weather. Halloween, the high is to be in the mid sixties for the tricksters.

It is sixty three degrees as I type. There isn't any wind and the humidity is in the low 90's. Radar show a lot of moisture traveling North from the gulf. I can see why rain is in the forecast for this afternoon. The high today is to be in the low seventies. I'm glad that I don't have lawns to mow today.

It hasn't rained that much, and with it being cooler and overcast, it isn't drying any. I hope the weather improves for the tricksters. Currently it is 63°. There is no sunshine or wind to aid in the drying process.

74 and cloudy today but it's looking like mid-60s as far out as my Tempest weather station forecast will go! I was going to pull the last two bug lights today but the Darling Bride and I agree: leave them out. They're on optical sensors and turn on for two hours at dusk... and they're still killing skeeters. Mosquitoes will feed at any temperature above 50F, so I'll keep zapping them.

It is warmer this morning than it was at any time yesterday and currently in the high sixties. The humidity is in the high eighties and the wind is out of the South and gusting into the low twenty mile per hour range. The high today is to be in the low seventies with rain and possible storms forecasted for the afternoon and evening.

I can feel your pain, OB.
Had SAD for probably longer than I knew what it was. The changing of the clocks is a reminder that the darkness sucks. I even searched for (and found) an app that shows the amount of daylight and night. Truly bothering that for about the next couple of months the amount of daylight will decline.

I'm still trying to figure out why the seasons actually start on the solstices and equinoxes.
Shouldn't the shortest day be in MID winter?
Shouldn't the longest day be in MID summer?

I'm just trying to figure out why I haven't moved closer to the equator.

It has been raining today. My area has been in a tornado watch most of the afternoon and lasts for a couple of more hours. It rained .18" early afternoon and .66" has fallen so far this evening. I haven't seen anything I'd consider threatening.
That's fine by me. There is a chance of rain into the wee hours of tomorrow. The predicted high for tomorrow is only 60°. It won't do much drying out tomorrow.

Okay by now most of you have seen the video and heard the audio of the lear jet crash in Florida. One video in the last day or so has mentioned that they were trying to avoid an approaching storm system. I am wondering if they encountered a microburst ,it seems like everything went wrong in a minute and there wasn't anytime to recover

In a word, lousy, is the best description of today's weather. The sky was overcast all day. Only .02" of rain fell today, but it was still wet from the inch that fell yesterday. The rain today was like a heavy mist. It would let up now and then and then resume misting. Not only was it wet, it was very windy today. It was a cold wind that was mostly out of the North. To top off the less than desirable day, the temperature peaked out a 55°. It is supposed to get into the low sixties tomorrow. I will keep my fingers crossed.
