How To Answer Samsung By Pressing, Not Swiping

Is there a way to set the Samsung S23 to answer calls by PRESSING the call button instead of swiping it WITHOUT enabling the annoying Assist Menu? Enabling it puts that stupid, annoying squares-within-circle overlay on the screen which always covers up what I'm looking at? Even with transparency set at maximum it's still visible and in the way.

Answering Calls on Samsung S23 Without the Assist Menu

Yes, you can configure your Samsung S23 to answer calls by tapping the screen instead of swiping, and you can do this without enabling the Assist Menu.

Steps to Enable Tap to Answer

  1. Open the Phone App
Launch the Phone app on your Samsung S23.
  2. Access Settings
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner to open the menu.
  3. Select Call Settings
Choose Settings from the dropdown menu.
  4. Change Call Gesture
Navigate to Receiving and ending calls. Here, you can change the gesture to answer calls by tapping the screen.

Benefits of This Method

  • No Overlay: This method avoids the Assist Menu's overlay, allowing for a clearer screen.
  • Quick Access: You can answer calls quickly with a simple tap, enhancing your user experience.
By following these steps, you can enjoy a more streamlined way to answer calls on your Samsung S23 without the distraction of the Assist Menu.
