Hey,
Sorry for sending a direct message. I just didn't feel like getting ripped apart on the boards for making a suggestion. If you just plan on keeping your phone stock, stick with the iPhone 5. I've had every version of the iPhone including the 5. I bought a verizon galaxy s3 a week before the iPhone 5 launch so I could try it out. I loved hacking it. I rooted it, installed CM10 and just enjoyed screwing around. Unfortunately the call quality (even before hacking the phone) was awful. Also the volume of the ringer is way too low. I took it back and bought a 32 gig white iPhone 5. Yes, iOS is kinda boring at this point, but it gets the job done. Unless you want to root your phone and install new roms, I seriously suggest avoiding the S3.
