That was closer to my experience as well. The tag on it that "you can't unsee them," at least for me, isn't true. Even though I know where they are hiding, I still have to look for them. I think it's a really cool illusion, though, because it's made with all straight lines and right angles...

I think it's interesting how much this sign shadow looks like a person's upper body. I took this picture, and it has not been retouched, just my Pixel in night mode that. And that is also how it looked to the naked eye. The light source is a streetlight.
