Sometimes when I talk to people my phone will echo, I think its mostly with people who have land lines. I will say something and then I hear what I said a few seconds later. Is there anyway to stop this?

I notice when I am at home at the top of my phone screen it shows 4G and my wifi at the same time, I want to know if it is using my data up. My carrier is AT&T Thanks
