I would like to modify or delete some system sounds, like the battery full notification. Astro can't write to the folder. Is there a file manager that can do this without root, or is root the only way? And is root available yet for the VZW variant? It's unclear from All Things Root.

Others have posted and it is in fact true. The alarm will not override silent ("no interruptions") mode. Even if the Clock app is made a "priority" it will not sound. Both VZW and LG CSR's confirm it. It is NOT a "bug" according to LG. Moronic. :mad: p.s. can anyone recommend an alarm clock app...
