    Root Zenfone 2e rooting and unlocking

    Hi guys, I have recently purchased an Zenfone 2e that is locked on the AT&T network. Now my question, is it possible to unlock this phone (or any phone for that matter) by rooting and flashing a custom ROM on it? any info appreciated.
