    2.2.1 update to 2.3.6 possible?

    i was just wondering if i can update my sisters phone from 2.2.1 to 2.3.6?? it does say there's an update for it but she needs wi-fi which she currently does not have. i have wi-fi and she'll be coming to visit me, if i update her phone do i expect to have 2.3.6 after the update?
