    USB OTG Storage

    Did you try your USB OTG adapter yet? You can play music directly from it using VLC player. I shall try to play movie from it later. This screen capture is with my S6 Edge+, I'm sure it should work the same with Note 5, anyone care to try and confirm?

    Accessories USB OTG Storage

    Good news, I plug in my USB OTG adapter on my S6 Edge+ and it works, and I can use VLC player to play music from it. I shall try if it will work with my 128 Gb stick tomorrow.
