    Why is torrent download speed on my Note 10.1 2014 edition about 1/5 of the speed of my Windows PC?

    I have a 50 MBps, 802.11n Wifi connection and speed tests on the tablet indicate that torrent speed should be fast. Is this a general limitation in the Android platform? And if so, can installing a ROM with root access and the right configuration bypass this limitation?

    ROM For Improving Media Capabilities

    I plan to throw out my old noisy HTPC and use my Galalaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition) instead for local media storage to Xbone through DLNA. There are two problems with this as I see: 1. KitKat upgrade made local storage on SD card restricted and cumbersome 2. Torrent download speeds are about 1/5...
