    Help Picture messaging with ATT

    I am using a Mytouch Slide with ATT. Att says the picture messaging is built into the phone for use with T-Mobile and will not work for ATT. Does anyone know of a way to correct this problem and get ATT picture messaging to function? Would rooting possibly fix this?
