What is that sticky post about ? How many of us have wiped our phones and NOT lost 3G ? It would be one thing if that post said you "might" lose it, but it says you "will" lose 3G. Soooo not true. Fact is, I did it to my phone yesterday... Twice... Guess what I still have ?

Anyone use "Temp Monitor Lite" ? Anyone compare it's readings to those from *#*#4636#*#* ? Currently, mine indicates 29C in the status bar. It polls the temperature every 15s as I recall. I've checked the temperature by "dialing" the above code, selecting "Battery info" and it can be different...

Is there a comparison (by anyone) of all of the different ROMs available ? If so, where ? Will look over at XDA too...

That said, what is the "safest" ROM to use for someone like her ? Keeping SENSE is almost a requirement. Is Evil Eris a good choice ?

Anyone noticed how HOT their phone gets when using the Navigation option on Android 2.1 ? The navi app must be a CPU hog or maybe they've increased the power on the GPS module (isn't it an all-in-one chipset though ?). Try it for even a 1/2 hour and I think you'll be surprised at the temperature.

Been having an issue with my HTC Eris regarding the location-based apps not updating consistently and have called VZW tech support about this. Their solution is to pull the battery... :( Okay, do I do this every day ? Told them that's rather impractical and the reps the first and second time...

Anyone know how to get transparent labels for the icons on-screen ?

When I want to make a phone call, the screen shows a person icon with a heart, i.e. "Favorites". Is it possible to change that icon/shortcut to "All" ? I don't have anyone in my Favorites nor do I plan to. Of course, maybe I can make everyone in my "All" list to also be in my "Favorites" list...
