Root Horrible battery life with Cyanogenmod RC1

I've had it for about a week now, and hoped it would get better, but it's just been atrocious. Much much worse than my stock rom ever was. I'm out of ideas. Does anybody know the latest radio version that CM will work with? They say "install the latest radios" but I have no clue where/what...

Root Cyanogen Mod "Google Addon" problem.

I got rooted and had the mod running fine. I install the "Google Addon" without any issues. When I power my phone it brings me to a welcome screen for an Android tutorial, where to begin it wants you to "touch the android" - only when I do this I can't get anything to work. I am touching the...

    FroYo gets official

In case anybody missed it in the drama of yesterday, the official Android 2.2 build has been released to Nexus One owners. Hopefully we will only have a month or two to get an official version, but I'm sure XDA will be cooking up some versions of it for the Evo. Latest Froyo build for the Nexus...

What do you want in the first big update?

Generally phones have legitimate issues that have to get fixed, but it doesn't really appear to be so. Sure there are isolated issues, but nothing too debilitating (IMO). Try to keep it realistic. Also, nothing 2.2 related since its not even officially released. -Better battery life (not sure...

    Evo Pictures

I figured it'd be interesting to showcase some of that 8MP power. I just took this yesterday of some flowers. It was a spur of the moment thing - I'll have to pick out the dead parts and leafs next time lol. This link is for the larger version.

What has been your favorite feature so far?

I've used the "voice to text" a ton when sending text messages on the move - really love it. Really haven't used too many Evo specific features yet...still trying to take in all that Android is lol. Pictures have been pretty good though, and the speed is great.

    Help Clearing my calendar

How can I clear my calendar and make it so it doesn't sync with Facebook? Basically I like how my phone syncs people in my phonebook to their facebook profile. I'd like it to put THEIR birthday on my calendar (if they exist in both my phone book and their facebook profile is linked and...

    Sprint's HDMI to cost $30?

From today's USA Today review: So its looking like getting a $20 through Arrow or a $30 one through Sprint. If the cable alone is $30 I wonder how much the dock will be

Bigger Picture: Where does this phone fit in?

I mean within Verizon's current lineup. I wouldn't say its a successor to the original Droid, since it doesn't have a physical keyboard. It surely doesn't look like a successor to the Incredible (if it has a 720mhz processor). Maybe it will be an Evo competitor (since it has a 4.1" screen and...

New Customers: Do you pay more for an Evo?
