I got the the Play Store installed to my 2.2.2 Samsun gem.
I have not seen a solution posted by any one else on getting the google play or market place app to work after one ignorantly updates the phone, so i joined just to make this post. I successfully installed the app by using the Android SDK kit to reinstall the app over the debug USB connection...- Quizzelbuck
