I keep downloading the flash & recovery images to install custom recovery on my phone and when they finish downloading and I try extracting them I get a bad zip file or. Like the flash img will extract and its a file that my phone can't open ... please help!

Ok I have tried over and over to download the flash recovery stuff to put on root of my SD card and the only one I was able to get was flash recovery image only cause on one of the threads there was a zip file attachment and when I click on link n download the other one needed it says bad zip...
