I have tried to root my Evo V and it did not work I think the zip was bad because it did not reboot and looking at it it said it could not find md5 and was ignoring it and then at the end it said could not open some side something.zip (bad) no root or nothing. Howdy all WillyO here checkin in from VA
as the title states I am checkin in. I have been a lurker (I am currently taking meds for that) LOL for a short time, just long enough to use the Odin method to root my Prevail. Root If my phone is rooted will it hurt it to do a system update?
I have a recently rooted prevail and I keep getting system update requests which I keep putting off. If I do accept the update will it brick my phone? I can't imagine what the update could be the last time my phone updated it was to Gingerbread 2.3.6. Thanks for all your help in this matter...- WillyO
