    Galaxy Note 8 drop tests

Didn't believe it when I saw my screen. Fell from my shoulder after a call and landed on the wood floor in my horse. The zagg protector flew off and was about a foot from my phone. It was cracked all over originating in the corner and middle. My actual screen had a crack curving from the left...

Galaxy Note 8 wireless (fast) charging

    Help Galaxy Note 8 Updates

The Galaxy Note 8 comes out of the box running Android 7.1.1 (Samsung experience version 8.5). This, of course, will change over time as new versions of Android are released and Samsung updates the device accordingly via OTA (over-the-air) software updates. At the time of writing, Samsung...

Help Charging with the fast charger

So while the note 8 came with a fast charger for regular use, how safe is it to use on regular basis? I recall with my note 4, people claim it would kill the longevity of the actual battery. So anyone hear anything similar with the 8 ? Also we can't just pop these open and change to a new one...

What do you actually use the S Pen for?

I've had the Note 5 and Note 7 for a while, but never really used them as my full-time device for a long time. The S Pen is a fun thing to play with, but I never really saw a much real-world use for it. I'm wondering what other Note owners use the S Pen for? Is it something you use a lot in...

Is a zoom camera better than wide angle?

The Galaxy Note 8 has dual 12MP cameras on the back. Samsung is using the second camera for a telephoto lens instead of the wide angle like LG does. What do you think about zoom vs wide angle? Which is more useful? I've only really used the wide angle lenses on LG phone and they come in handy...

Do you care about the fingerprint scanner placement?

There has been a lot of discussion about the fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S8. It was supposed to be embedded in the display, but Samsung ran out of time. The scanner on the back has been a sore spot for a lot of people. If the Note 8 has the same scanner as the GS8, will you be okay with that?
